Way High Kick Turn Special Edition Box Set
This book is a porthole into skateboarding’s subversive dip in the 1980s. It is delivered through the eyes of the everyday skater, the friends I grew up with in the East Bay of San Francisco. None of us had any influence on the sport. Our crew was no different than the countless pockets of teenagers scattered throughout America at the time, threaded together by the same angst and disillusionment with the mainstream. We didn’t come from strongholds such as Venice Beach, Santa Cruz, or San Francisco. We were from the suburbs, places like Walnut Creek, Livermore, and Danville.
